PM Nominates Mr. Hun Many for Deputy Prime Minister Role

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Manet has formally requested the National Assembly to hold a special session to confirm the new Royal Government's lineup, proposing Mr. Hun Many, the current Minister of Public Service, for the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

The announcement was made by the Secretary-General of the National Assembly, Mr. Leng Peng Long, on the morning of February 15, 2024, following a meeting of the National Assembly's Standing Committee presided over by its President.

Alongside Mr. Hun Many's nomination for Deputy Prime Minister, the Prime Minister has also proposed Ms. Srey Thamrong and Mr. Pen Vibol as Senior Ministers responsible for special missions.

Mr. Leng Peng Long disclosed that the National Assembly is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session on February 21 to cast votes on the proposed government restructure.
